Shirley Temple: Collections

Born in the early 1930s, Iva Mae and Janet had each grown up in small town America, adored Shirley Temple during their childhood, and carried this admiration into adulthood, cherishing the treasures from their own youth, and then, beginning in the 1980s, beginning a keen search for all rare treasures related to their childhood idol. Their collections perfectly blend. Iva Mae concentrated on the Shirley Temple dolls, especially those wearing rare costumes, and Janet sought rare paper ephemera ranging from early sheet music to postcards and scrapbooks. The two collections feature more than 250 lots. Softbound. 8.5" x 11". 76 pages. $19. BT-341

Shirley Temple Prototype Collection

Shirley Temple learned the lesson of preservation early in life from her mother and her grandmother who had lovingly and carefully saved all her childhood costumes and memorabilia. Throughout her adult life, Shirley Temple continued that tradition, saving prototype and sample models of licensed dolls, as well as other ephemera, created during the 1980s-2000s era. All of the objects - posters, dolls, novelties and more - presented in this catalog have been in the private archives of Shirley Temple from the time of their creation, and each carries with it a Certificate of Authenticity attesting to this.
