The Ark, itself is almost two feet long and over a foot tall. The side plates can be removed to show the interior and the roof opens to show the living quarters of Noah and his wife, whose hand-carved and hand-painted figures are also included. Certainly the nicest feature, though, is the extensive assortment of 25 pairs of animals including animals as big as elephants and as small as doves. The 19” bunny is completely hand-crafted and hand-painted from his glass eyes to blue flannel felt marching uniform with brass buttons and epaulets. His design, including the hidden candy container in his torso, the wooden base and hands perfectly shaped to hold drumsticks, was taken directly from authentic 19th-century German molds.   6. 19th Century Style St Nicholas And Cart

    There is little question that the finest St. Nicholas collectibles in the world today are being made by renowned German artist Werner Brauer. His facial sculpting as well as attention to details such as costuming and accessorizing make each of his hand-made St. Nicholas figures a true collector’s piece. For these reasons, Florence & George has commissioned Brauer to re-create this St Nicholas and Toy Cart which first appeared in a French toy catalog in 1895. Brauer’s St Nicholas stands 15” holding a fir Christmas tree in one hand and pushing a cart filled with traditional wooden toys.
