Heidi Steiner

Heidi Steiner is an artist who understands teddy bear collectors. Each bear is designed and personally hand made by Heidi Steiner in her Wisconsin home, using only the highest quality mohair and accessories, all personally chosen by the artist. Each strand of mohair is dyed to achieve the exact color she imagines. Each Heidi Steiner bear possesses an individuality that, ironically, identifies itself as a Heidi Steiner creation. Each animal is signed on the foot. Just look into their eyes, give them a hug, and feel the difference.

  5. “Dibbly” Bunny by American Artist Heidi Steiner

For many contemporary teddy bear creators, a rabbit is made by merely placing long ears on a teddy bear face, but not for renowned American teddy bear artist Heidi Steiner. Take “Dibbly”, for example. Steiner’s attention to detail in Dibbly is witnessed by its lack of pronounced muzzle and distinctive rabbit feet. Dibbly does, however, possesses many fine traits common to its bear friends including stitched nose, shoe-button eyes, grey mohair fur, and a decorative felt ruffle with embroidered carrots and buttons. And Dibbly can stand alone without support, except, of course, when you’re not hugging him because all Heidi Steiner animals are made to hug. So take Dibbly, but take him quickly because we have only 2. 19". TB-218. $265. Learn More
